Ganapatti bappa with Sai baba

Hello friends.............!!!
See in this post Lord Ganesh is with "Sai Baba". So, u all might be thinking that 2day's story is about "Sai Baba". But, no its not.........  Today's story is about the one who is at the back of us i.e. the "MOON".

In this story, you all will get to know Why Lord Ganesh cursed the Moon god? Why we all don't see the Moon god on Ganesh Chaturthi?

The story goes like this......................................

Once Lord Brahma came to meet Lord Shiva to Kailash. When they were talking with each other a saint named Narada Muni came there. And he offered Lord Shiva a fruit as a sacrifice. Nearby Lord Shiva's two sons, Lord Ganesh and Lord Kartikeya were playing and when they saw the fruit they both wanted the fruit. Lord Ganesh and Lord Kartikeya started fighting and yelling for the fruit. And Lord Shiva couldn't decide whom to give, so he asked the wise lord Brahma to decide who should eat the fruit.

Lord Brahma said  Lord Kartikeya should get the fruit because he was younger, and so Lord Kartikeya ate the sweet fruit. And Lord Ganesh got very angry on Lord Brahma.

One day when Lord Shiva went to meet Lord Brahma in Satya lok, Lord Ganesh also went with him. In Lord Brahma's place, Lord Shiva was talking with a saint, seeing that Lord Shiva's attention is some where else, Lord Ganesh  got a chance to take revenge on lord Brahma for that fruit. So , Lord Ganesh started frightening Lord Brahma in his scariest form. And Lord Brahma was really scared! All this activity was being watched by the Moon god, who was on the head of Lord Shiva and he started laughing on Lord Ganesh's childish behavior. The Moon God,laughed  and laughed at silly Ganesh who was so greedy that he couldn't give the fruit to his father or his little brother, and so babyish that Lord Ganesh couldn't control his anger.

Now Lord Ganesh turned all his anger on Chandra, the Moon.  And Lord Ganesh said,
"I'll get you, Moon! I'll curse you !
Moon,You laughed at my look and made fun of  the Lord Ganesh, so from today on wards if anyone who looks at the Moon,he will also be cursed themselves and will do something wrong.
So nobody in the Universe will ever look at the Moon again!"  By hearing this all were shocked and also the Moon god, who was proud for his beauty. The Moon was ashamed of this and Moon hid himself. When all the other gods heard about this situation all felt very bad. So they all together prayed Lord Ganesh to forgive the Moon and return him his beauty back.
Mean while Lord Indra called the Moon and asked him to recite Lord Ganesh's  Ekaksha mantra. Accordingly     the Moon recited the mantra and meditated the mantra for twelve years to get out of the curse. Seeing that the Moon is regretting, Lord Ganesh was pleased and blessed him,
"May you get back your beauty and of every month of Krishna Chaturthi until your (the Moon) darshan is not taken Lord Ganesh's worship will not be complete. Only by taking the Moon's darshan all the devotees will eat and break their fast. And also i (Lord Ganesh) will wear one of the Moon's art on my head with pride . But on Bhadrab Chaturthi, if any one looks at the Moon, will be cursed and the one who had looked at the Moon will face problem."

After getting this blessing the Moon's ugliness vanished and the Moon became bright as before. And from that day on wards the Moon on Lord Ganesh's head looks admirable and therefore he is also known as Bhalchandra.

bhalchandra

So this is how the story of Lord Ganesh and the Moon goes. From this story we came to know why we all shouldn't see the Moon on Ganesh Chaturthi and also why Lord Ganesh is also called as Bhalchandra.

Hope you all had enjoyed the story and now enjoy the video of this story with some of the images and pictures of Lord Ganesh with the Moon.

Lord Ganesh Goddess Laxmi

Hello....friends!!!See today Maa Lakshmi has come with me to say all of u a very HAPPY DIWALI. Tomorrow i would have told u the importance of Diwali, but then we thought its better to give all of u the information about Diwali as you all will be busy on this day.

In this post I, i.e Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi will tell u all the story of Diwali...... Why Diwali is celebrated ? How Diwali  had Started?      Why Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi both are worshiped on Diwali? Which all Hindu Gods are worshiped on Diwali ?

Why Diwali is celebrated ? How Diwali  had Started?

This Diwali Story explains the importance of performing Goddess Lakshmi puja on Diwali. So, the story goes like this...........

The Diwali Lakshmi puja katha tells us  the significance of lightning Diyas (lamp) on Diwali night.

Once Goddess Lakshmi was roaming on earth. That day was the Kartik Amavasya – the no moon day in the Kartik month. Goddess Lakshmi roamed a lot and she forgot that the was night approaching. Because of the darkness dueto  no moon , Goddess Lakshmi lost her way and Goddess Lakshmi decided to stay among the humans on that day.

When Goddess Lakshmi looked around  the place, Goddess Lakshmi found that all the houses were closed and there were no Diya (light) burning any where.

After roaming for a while to other places Goddess Lakshmi came across a home in which a Diya was burning. It was a dilapidated(small and broken down) hut of an old woman.

When Goddess Lakshmi reached that hut, the old woman invited Goddess Lakshmi into her home and said that it is not safe for a maiden to roam around on a dark night.

She offered the little food that was in her home to Goddess Lakshmi and also made bed for her.

Next day morning, when the old woman woke up she found that the maiden(Goddess Lakshmi) had gone.

To her surprise, the old woman found that her dilapidated hut had become a beautiful palace and she found gold and diamond scattered all around. As unknowingly she had served Goddess Lakshmi and she was pleased on her.

From that day people started lighting lamp on the night of Kartik Amavasya with the believe that  Goddess Lakshmi will visit their home on this day.

Why Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi both are worshiped on Diwali?

On the day of Diwali Lord Ganesh is worshiped with Goddess Lakshmi instead of Lord Vishnu. Now the question arises, why Lord Vishnu is not worshiped with Goddess Lakshmi on Diwali and what is the relation between Lakshmi and Ganesh?

Read this interesting mythological story and you will come to know Why Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi both are worshiped on Diwali?

Once upon a time, Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakhmi were having conversation in their place and Goddess Lakshmi was praising herself and telling Lord Vishnu that she (Goddess Lakshmi) is the most worship worthy in the whole world and by her grace, a person can get all the pleasures of this world and becomes the happiest person.

By hearing this self praising of Goddess Laksmi , Lord Vishnu said to Goddess Laksmi  for reducing her ego, and said “If you are having all the qualities and you are so worthy, then why you did not get or feel the joy of motherhood till now and for a lady, the motherhood joy is the most important thing in this universe.”

The comment from his husband, Lord Vishnu made Goddess Lakhmi become disheartened and with this pain Goddess Laksmi went to her friend Goddess Parvati.
After listing the problem of  Goddess Lakhmi, Parvati asked her, “How can I help you?”

Then Goddess Lakshmi said, “Dear Parvati, you are having two sons,Kartikeya and Ganesh and if you could give me your one son you will still have one son and I also could get the grace of a motherhood. So, you can help me out from situation.”

By listing her Goddess Parvati said to Goddess Lakshmi, “I'm having two sons Kartikeya and Ganesh.
Kartikeya is having six mouths (Faces) and for this he needs to eat all the time.
My second son Ganesh is very naughty, if I missed to keep eye on him for a bit, Ganesh will ruin everything.
And you cannot stay at one place for a long time, now tell me how can you take care of my sons?

By hearing this Goddess Lakshmi said to Goddess Parvati, “I'll keep your sons close to my heart and will shower all  my love on them either Kartikeya or Ganesh. I can take care both of them. All my servants in heaven will serve them day and night. So please give me one of them as my adopted child.”

Goddess Parvati knew her sons very well, so she gave Lord Ganesh to Goddess Lakhmi as her adopted son. Goddess Lakshmi became very happy and said to Goddess Parvati,-----
“From today onwards I'm giving all my  luxury, prosperity and accomplishments  to my son Ganesh.

Riddhi and Siddhi, Lord Brahma’s daughters are like my daughters and both they will be married soon to Lord Ganesh for which I give my word to you.

I will fulfill all the desires of Ganesh.

In all the three loks the personwho shall not worship Lord Ganesh , I will be miles away from him.

Whenever my (Goddess Lakshmi ) worship will be performed, Lord Ganesh's worship will be a must.
Who will not worship Shri Ganesh along with Goddess Lakshmi ,he cannot get Shree or myself. "

By listening this Goddess Parvati become so much happy and handed over Lord Ganesh to Goddess Lakshmi.

So in Deepawali/Diwali Poojan or Goddess Lakshmi Poojan, Lord Ganesh's  Puja is must.
