Lord Ganesh

hello all....................another Story from Lord Ganesh Story collections.

Todays Story is about how Lord Ganesh hurted his Mother ,Goddess Parvati

Unknowingly Lord Ganesh hurted Goddess Parvati,Lord Bal Ganesh's Mother whom Bal Ganesh loved the most and Lord Ganesh was very sorry 4 hurting Mother Goddess Parvati.

Read the Story and u all will know how Lord Bal Ganesh hurted Mother Parvati .
The Story goes like this................................................................

Once Lord Bal Ganesh was playing with his mouse and other friends in Mount Kailash.

While playing, the mouse went far from that place and there the mouse saw a CAT,and he was very afraid. And the cat also frightened the mouse very much, and the mouse came running to Lord Bal Ganesh and friends and told them about the catLord Ganesh got angry and wanted to see the cat and punish who have frightened the mouse. So all of them that is Lord Bal Ganesh and friends went to that place to see the cat

When they reached, Lord Bal Ganesh diverted himself in tormenting the cat,  pulling the cat's tail and rolling him on the ground and hurted the cat. As we all know that children are able to injure animals but are not aware of what could have happened to them and so what Lord Bal Ganesh had done. Bal Ganesh even did not think about what he had done. Bal Ganesh had tortured the cat  in every and all possible ways and hurted the cat.

the cat frightened from Lord Ganesh

After hurting and playing with that catLord Ganesh and the mouse returned back to their palace. As Lord Ganesh was playing for a long time,Lord Bal Ganesh was very very hungry and rushed to his Mother, Goddess Parvati  for asking Modak. Lord Bal Ganesh searched the palace in search of Mother Parvati and after searching the entire palace Bal Ganesh found Mother Goddess Parvati  lying down in a room badly suffering, covered with wounds and dust and pain.

Goddess Parvati

Lord Bal Ganesh asked Mother Parvati about what happened to her and who had done this to her.Who have that much guts to hurt Lord Ganesh'Mother .And Lord Ganesh also asked the Mother  to tell the name of that idiot person and he (Lord Ganesh) will punish him so that he will not dare to do such acts ever after.

Then Mother Goddess Parvati  replied to Bal Ganesh that He (Lord Ganesh) was responsible for this situation and he (Bal Ganesh) had only hurted Goddess Parvati  . The little Bal Ganesh as surprised how he (Lord Ganesh) had hurted his Mother Bal Ganesh didn't even think or can dream about hurting his Mother .

Mother Parvati told that, the cat which was tormented by Bal Ganesh and his friends was none other than me i.e.,Goddess Parvati and she (Goddess Parvati) knew what all they have done with the cat and you all have hurted the cat a lot and so i also got hurt. The cat was helpless, weak and afraid from  your (Lord Ganesh's) misbehavior.

Lord Ganesh told Mother that ,he(Bal Ganesh) was not hurting the cat, he(Bal Ganesh) was teaching the cat a lesson as the cat  had frightened my(Ganesh) mouse.

Then Mother  old that this not the right way to teach lesson to any one and that to if the creature is helpless and weak. In this Universe, in every creature God is there, I(Goddess Parvati) am there in every weak and helpless being and if any one is hurting them then he/she is hurting the god..............hurting me.

Lord Bal Ganesh realized the mistake and asked Mother Parvati to forgive him and Bal Ganesh promised, not to hurt any small, weak and helpless creature instead he (Bal Ganesh) and all his friends will help those creatures and beings.

And by listening this Mother Goddess Parvati  was very happy that her son,Bal Ganesh had learned a lesson from this situation and he (Bal Ganesh) will not do such mistake in his lifetime and  after that Mother Parvati gave her sweet little son lots of Modaks and other sweets to eat.

So from this Story we knew how Lord Ganesh had hurt Mother Parvati unknowingly. And not only Lord Ganesh learned this lesson and we also must learn it during our lifetime.
If we injure a living creature, one of our companions, human or animal, we injure God Himself.

Ganapatti bappa with Sai baba

Hello friends.............!!!
See in this post Lord Ganesh is with "Sai Baba". So, u all might be thinking that 2day's story is about "Sai Baba". But, no its not.........  Today's story is about the one who is at the back of us i.e. the "MOON".

In this story, you all will get to know Why Lord Ganesh cursed the Moon god? Why we all don't see the Moon god on Ganesh Chaturthi

The story goes like this......................................

Once Lord Brahma came to meet Lord Shiva to Kailash. When they were talking with each other a saint named Narada Muni came there. And he offered Lord Shiva a fruit as a sacrifice. Nearby Lord Shiva's two sons, Lord Ganesh and Lord Kartikeya were playing and when they saw the fruit they both wanted the fruit. Lord Ganesh and Lord Kartikeya started fighting and yelling for the fruit. And Lord Shiva couldn't decide whom to give, so he asked the wise lord Brahma to decide who should eat the fruit.

Lord Brahma said  Lord Kartikeya should get the fruit because he was younger, and so Lord Kartikeya ate the sweet fruit. And Lord Ganesh got very angry on Lord Brahma

One day when Lord Shiva went to meet Lord Brahma in Satya lok, Lord Ganesh also went with him. In Lord Brahma's place, Lord Shiva was talking with a saint, seeing that Lord Shiva's attention is some where else, Lord Ganesh  got a chance to take revenge on lord Brahma for that fruit. So , Lord Ganesh started frightening Lord Brahma in his scariest form. And Lord Brahma was really scared! All this activity was being watched by the Moon god, who was on the head of Lord Shiva and he started laughing on Lord Ganesh's childish behavior. The Moon God,laughed  and laughed at silly Ganesh who was so greedy that he couldn't give the fruit to his father or his little brother, and so babyish that Lord Ganesh couldn't control his anger.

Now Lord Ganesh turned all his anger on Chandra, the Moon.  And Lord Ganesh said,
"I'll get you, Moon! I'll curse you !
Moon,You laughed at my look and made fun of  the Lord Ganesh, so from today on wards if anyone who looks at the Moon,he will also be cursed themselves and will do something wrong.
So nobody in the Universe will ever look at the Moon again!"  By hearing this all were shocked and also the Moon god, who was proud for his beauty. The Moon was ashamed of this and Moon hid himself. When all the other gods heard about this situation all felt very bad. So they all together prayed Lord Ganesh to forgive the Moon and return him his beauty back.
Mean while Lord Indra called the Moon and asked him to recite Lord Ganesh's  Ekaksha mantra. Accordingly     the Moon recited the mantra and meditated the mantra for twelve years to get out of the curse. Seeing that the Moon is regretting, Lord Ganesh was pleased and blessed him,
"May you get back your beauty and of every month of Krishna Chaturthi until your (the Moon) darshan is not taken Lord Ganesh's worship will not be complete. Only by taking the Moon's darshan all the devotees will eat and break their fast. And also i (Lord Ganesh) will wear one of the Moon's art on my head with pride . But on Bhadrab Chaturthi, if any one looks at the Moon, will be cursed and the one who had looked at the Moon will face problem."

After getting this blessing the Moon's ugliness vanished and the Moon became bright as before. And from that day on wards the Moon on Lord Ganesh's head looks admirable and therefore he is also known as Bhalchandra.

bhalchandra

So this is how the story of Lord Ganesh and the Moon goes. From this story we came to know why we all shouldn't see the Moon on Ganesh Chaturthi and also why Lord Ganesh is also called as Bhalchandra

Hope you all had enjoyed the story and now enjoy the video of this story with some of the images and pictures of Lord Ganesh with the Moon.
